With 2 Tiger Turf Carpet Greens, 16 rinks, extended Licence Clubhouse and an undercover BBQ area, the Sporties Barooga Bowls Club is a friendly club where everyone is welcome.
It’s not just the great facilities that set us apart. Our Club has had a lot of success, winning four division 1 premierships in succession, from 2011/12 to 2014/15!
Members & guests are welcome to join the fun. We have various Bowls activities throughout the year. Come try Jackpot Fridays – Three Bowl Mixed Pairs every Friday from 1.30pm or Mixed Medley Pairs on the 2nd Tuesday every month from 10.00am, which includes lunch.
Every May we hold our four day Sporties Barooga Classic Pairs event with excellent prizes and giveaways up to $20,000!
Barooga Claims the Silverware
Barooga Bowls Division 1 & 2 win 2019-20 Murray Bowls Division
Congratulations to our Division 1 & 2 Bowlers who on the 29th of February won the their respective Divisions at the Murray Bowls Division Grand Final at Numurkah.
Our Division 1 Bowlers defeated Wunghnu 95-83
While our Division 2 Bowlers won their game 108-86 against Cobram.
Our Division 4 side also came agonisingly close, going down 40-33 to Berrigan.
A huge congratulations to all bowlers on the day.
Recent Tournaments
2018 Classic Pairs Results
The Tournament attracted 64 bowlers who came from Regional and Metropolitan Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales. The standard of bowls was extremely high which was enhanced by having 2 former Australian Representative Players and several past State Players in the field.
As this Tournament is a Bowls Australia Ranking Event, the winning Skip of the Tournament, Lee Schraner will now be ranked the number one male bowler in Australia.
The results of the above Tournament were as follows:
